Let your employees help your vision manifest by enrolling them in it. Help them understand where you want to take the company and then guide them in seeing how they can play a role in its ultimate success. They need to grasp how they can benefit as the company grows and expands, and that they are part of a greater whole. Make them feel a vital part of the company’s growth and future.

Cupids’ Bow. Valentine’s Day is coming soon and we will see hundreds of cards in the store with cherubic Cupid pointing his bow and arrows at his soon-to-be victims, smiting them with love.

But as much as this sweet image has been part of our cultural legacy of a day devoted to finding and celebrating love, it needs an update! Cupid needs to add particle and wave physics to his arsenal! The little guy needs to attract instead of attack!

All that said, you’re probably not waiting around for Cupid to do you any favors. If you are a single person today, you are more likely to be searching for love online (Match.com or EHarmony.com), in your social networking organization (Facebook, My Space), at work (where statistics show a high percentage of relationships begin), in school, at your workout gym/yoga studio, or within your special interest group (church/spiritual center, pet rescue, cycling club, cause-related organization, etc). Or maybe you’ve just given up looking, but not given up hope.

Anytime of the year is a good time to be open to finding for a lover/partner/spouse, but with Valentine’s Day upon us, we are reminded that love is possible for any and all of us. However, we need to begin to view the search for love in terms of Conscious Creation and energy…a far more effective and compelling way now that the Law of Attraction and energy management have come to light.

So, how would you go about attracting a soul mate, a true love? Let’s look at ways to apply your skills at Conscious Creation. Here are 10 steps.

1. Raise Your Personal Frequency

In order to be attractive to a prospective partner you must be vibrating positive, compassionate, appreciative, loving frequencies. If you are vibrating negative waves of energy (desperation, resentment at past lovers, judgment, criticism, self-centeredness, etc) you will drive people away even if your words are sweet. People will sense what is underlying because your body will be radiating that energy. Furthermore, if you raise your frequency, you will become a faster and more effective manifestor, attracting your partner more quickly. 

2. Become Love to Attract Love

Like energy attracts. If you want to attract love, you must vibrate love—unconditional love. You must be loving in intent, in your heart, in deed, in action, in appearance. Loving energy should permeate your entire being. Get quiet and allow love to become your default energy. 

3. Love Yourself

If you are constantly self critical (I’m not thin enough, I’m too bald, I wish I was smarter or more glib with the opposite sex, etc.), you are vibrating energies that will repel your prospective lover. Because if you are critical of yourself, you will be critical of him/her. If you accept and love yourself, you have begun the process of accepting your partner for who he or she is. Furthermore, if you dislike yourself or find fault, you are not operating in a state of unconditional love, the love that will draw forth your partner.   

4. Start Consciously Creating Love

Create a vision of the person you want to bring into your life. Not just what he or she might look like, but what qualities that person has, what interests might you share, what values, how the relationship will feel to you. When you start Consciously Creating, remember that the emotional component is most critical for this is the “express mail to the cosmic post office.” You must feel the emotions of living this beautiful relationship.

5. Be Specific

It is essential that you be specific in your Conscious Creation about what you desire in your soulmate. My friend Lee is a very handsome, charming, intelligent and successful entertainment entrepreneur, but he had difficulty finding the right woman for him. So he sat down and started writing, getting very specific about what he wanted in a wife. Very soon after that, she walked into his life and they have now been blissfully married more than a dozen years. The Universe can’t bring it forth if you are unspecific or conflicted. It has to have clarity to match the vibrational request.

6. Make Space in Your Life for Your Lover

Is there room in your life for this lover? Is there enough time in your life? Is there enough “attention bandwith” to make someone feel valued? Is there space in your closets? Create spiritual and energetic space so that the Universe can fill the vacuum with the partner you are seeking. This also applies to releasing old energies relating to past partners. If you hold onto bad memories, anger, resentment, etc, this energy will not allow positive new loving energy to come forth. Dump the garbage and let the Universe fill up your psychic space with the vibrant, loving energy inspired by your relationship with a wonderful new partner. 

7. Trust the Universe

Have faith that once you start this process, and you have done all the aforementioned steps, that the Universe is at work creating a new reality for you, presenting you with opportunities to connect with possible partners, maneuvering you into situations where the right person may present him or herself. Believe that you will meet your partner and you will…but note that this will be in Divine timing. It may not be on your timetable. So be patient.

8. Affirmations

Create and restate affirmations that reinforce your belief and readiness for this person’s arrival. Words like this: “I willingly embrace the loving partner who is coming into my life and am creating a safe haven in my life for him/her” or “I am filling myself with abundant and unconditional love so that I may share it with my lover who is now in my life.” It is especially effective to act as if that person has already arrived on your doorstep when creating affirmations. 

9. Preparing for Love

Take the steps to prepare yourself for love. Be groomed beautifully, even when running errands. Take pride in your appearance. Pamper your body. Work on your fitness. Make your home welcoming. Take classes to enhance your knowledge and wisdom. Practice your charm, kindness and focused attention on others so that you will be accustomed to doing so when your partner arrives.

10. Raise Your Antenna for Love

Be out in the world. Don’t isolate yourself. Raise your antenna and use your wavelengths of energy to start connecting with people. Put yourself in places where you might meet someone—or meet someone who can introduce you to someone else.  Let your waves go out and bring back your new love…just like a modern wave-wielding Cupid.

This is truly one of my favorite books and I have since become a very good friend of the author. Jenica Ashley is an amazing sage who is on a crusade to teach women to retrieve their Feminine Hearts. Women have relinquished their Feminine Heart in the striving to become successful income earners. Reawakening one’s Divine Feminine Heart allows a woman to be truly who she is and the powerful engine for love in her world and THE world. It is through the reawakening of the Feminine Heart that we can create true peace and love globally. One key goal of Jenica’s book is to inspire “A peaceful world where children witness deep love and respect between the sexes.”  This book is chalked full of incredible wisdom. It’s divided into three sections Deep Intimacy: Satisfying our Yearning for Infinite Love, Deep Purpose, Sharing the Gifts fro Our Feminine Hearts and Deep Passion, Offering the Gift of Endless Love. Each section opens with a  beautiful peace of Jenica’s poetry addressed to “My Darling Feminine Heart” and then goes on the illuminate the subject in that chapter. The chapters conclude with Musings and Blessings, offering specific recommendations on ways to allow our authentic love to resurface. This is an inspiring and powerful book for any woman who has felt the need to sacrifice her sacred feminine side. I highly recommend it.

Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles

With the phenomenal success of The Secret many people are just now discovering the Law of Attraction and how it can be employed to influence their lives. But back around the turn of the century Wallace D. Wattles was revealing to a world just coming into the Industrial age the same principles. In his landmark book, The Science of Getting Rich, Wattles succinctly lays out the mind-bending strategies that will take a person from wanting to wealth. While the prose and gender references may be a little anachronistic, the wisdom is profound. He lays it all out in a cohesive and thought-provoking manner and even one who is well versed in Law of Attraction philosophy will find many kernels of insight, as I did. The book has sold millions of copies through the ages and it is truly amazing to think how it must have been received in 1910 when it was first published!

What a momentous day this has been!

I heard it said today by a woman civil rights lawyer in

Los Angeles

that today marks not a transition in our country and our world, but a TRANSFORMATION.

I indeed agree with her. With the inauguration of Barack Obama as president we have someone who knows the difference between the leadership of power and the leadership of the heart. What thrills me about his ascendancy is not the color of his skin, but the light that emanates from him, for this is truly a man who lives in concert with the high frequency energy of the Universe. He radiates it in his words, deeds and values. May his clear vision, and call for self-responsibility, compassion, commitment and unity guide us to a gentler, more peaceful and prosperous state of affairs. And may our nation once again be one that reaches out in brotherhood to the rest of the world. I hold a vision that under his leadership, we will become a nation of people who serve others, who lift up those who are in greater need, who eschew greed and instead compassionately share what we have with those who need it more. And may the priorities he sets enable us to protect our world and allow it to recover from the damage that has been done to its environment.

May the presidency of Barack Obama be the transformation that we need. I know I will do what I can to be a part of that positive, light-filled change!

Committed to a Course

When I go out a speak to groups, I often address how I became a Conscious Creator at the age of 11, telling my parents that I was going to be a sportswriter, at a time when there were no women sportswriters. I clearly saw myself working in press boxes, interviewing players and seeing my stories appear in the paper. And true to my vision, I was at the Detroit Free Press at the age of 20, the Associated Press and writing on the front page of the LA Times at 21 and at the Washington Post at 22.

And just to show that I wasn’t the only one committing themselves to a vision in their youth, I bring to your attention one of my high school classmates. I can remember in freshman year home room encountering a young man who was a bit cheeky, but was very confirmed in his belief that he would one day be in the entertainment industry–behind the camera. Unlike so many kids who wanted to be a star, this fellow knew that his role was one of making things happen on screen. And I remember this scenario each time I see his name on the wide screen or TV, for today Gary Goetzman is partners with Tom Hanks in Playtone Films. Some of their accomplishments include the most recent acclaimed HBO mini series "John Adams," "Band of Brothers," "Big Love" and the films "Cast Away," "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "Charlie Wilson’s War," "Momma Mia" and "That Thing You Do!" among others.

A World Set Right

Each day we hear such gloom and doom about our world, and people feel so weighed down, that everything is heading toward an apocalypse. But this week I read two stories that tell a different story. In Sunday’s LA Times, a front page feature showed the fantastic recovery of the Bolsa Chica wetlands, how thousands of birds were now nesting and making their homes in the watery meadows, and how scallops were multiplying, and dozens of endangered species were making a comeback. By recovering the precious wetlands from parking lots and an oil field, environmentals, federal and state agencies and volunteer groups had transformed the Bolsa Chica area once again into a natural haven for wildlife. It’s a true transformation and the experts are just awestruck by the success! Where there is a will, (an intention or conscious creation) there is a way!

I also read today about Steven Kwon, a 60-year-old scientist and researcher from Pasadena who has single-handedly convinced 4,400 Afghan farmers in 15 provinces to plant 80 tons of soybeans, resulting in 2,000 tons of protein for the nutritionally-starved nation  –and in so doing gotten them to forego planting opium poppies. And 6,000 more farmers are waiting to get into the program, but limited funding from Kwon’s nonprofit Nutrition and Education International and the Afghan government means that only 25% of them will be able to participate. But there is great hope for the future! There wasn’t one soybean plant in the country when Kwon started in 2005! This is a real solution to the protein shortage and a way to stem the drug trade!

Now I prefer to see these as the leading edge toward taking the world in the right direction,and by focusing on these victories and applauding them, we open the door for more!
