What Are Your Operating Principles?

Someone recently asked what I meant by my "operating principles."

These are the values by which you live. Do you choose to operate with honesty and integrity? Do you choose to be optimistic instead of pessimistic? Do you choose to be compassionate and kind? Do you choose to honor other people by listening to them instead of talking over them? Do you choose to speak your truth in a kind and thoughtful manner? Do you choose to respect human life? So you choose to refrain from judgment, and accept those people you meet for who they are? Do you choose to make love a focus of your life?

Your “operating principles” are the core values by which you run your life. In examining them, we can see where there is room for improvement and set an intention to do so.
